The Action Renewables Charitable Solar PV programme delivers support to non-profit organisations across Northern Ireland, allowing them to generate renewable green electricity, which reduces their carbon emissions and operating costs due to the renewable electricity tariff which can see savings of up to 50%.  Recently, William Deane (Head of Projects) and Allison Miller (Charitable Programme Manager) for Action Renewables visited Moy GAC to see the recent solar PV installation on the clubhouse and meet with Francie McQuade (Moy GAC Club Development Officer).

Francie said “  Moy Tír na nÓg are delighted to have been one of the successful initial applicants under the Action Renewables Charitable Solar Programme. As a registered GAA Green Club, the Action Renewables funding programme is a brilliant start in reducing the clubs carbon footprint and also reducing our day to day running costs. The club are delighted with the install ,and the performance of the solar panels to date. Thanks to William, Alison and Jo-Anne of Action Renewables for their assistance. ”

The Solar PV Programme is currently closed to new applications due to overwhelming demand, however, any organisations interested in applying in the future, should keep an eye on our website and social media for updates.
