Team Leader
About Action Renewables: Founded in 2003, Action Renewables is one of Northern Ireland’s longest-established renewable energy companies. Our unique charitable focus drives our mission to raise awareness of climate change by promoting renewable energy products and services, while also supporting our community through various projects. We are seeking a Team Leader to support the Head of Projects and be an active member of the Action Renewables team.
Action Renewables is excited to announce the recruitment for the role of Team Leader: The Team Leader will manage the microgeneration team which provides administrative services to small renewable generator clients. This team uses our bespoke online system to obtain and validate annual meter readings from approximately 6,000 clients and processes annual payments to the clients. Throughout the year the team will liaise with clients to address submission queries which may arise, and deliver services both internally and to external partners. Strong administrative experience and attention to detail is key. The main requirements and responsibilities of the Team Leader role are:
• Motivate and inspire the team to achieve high performance
• Delegate tasks according to team members’ strengths and workloads
• Communicate effectively with the team and clients
• Ensure client satisfaction through prompt and efficient service delivery
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and facilitate professional growth
• Efficiently manage time and prioritise tasks for the team
• Maintain and develop existing services and seeking new income streams
•Developing Action Renewables’ relationships with industry stakeholders such as Ofgem, Utility Regulator, NIE Networks, electricity suppliers and other relevant bodies
Essential criteria:
•Level 6 (degree level) qualification
•3 years’ experience managing a team in a busy administrative environment
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Experience of client management
•Experience of data management
•Able to demonstrate excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills

Project Manager (2 roles)
The successful candidates will be part of either the microgeneration administrative team or the consultancy team in Action Renewables. The microgeneration team provides administrative services to approximately 6,000 clients, and the consultancy team conducts research, analysis and produces energy-related reports for clients. Each requires project management support. Project Managers are expected to be task orientated and self-driven, capable of delivering against deadlines with a focus on accuracy and strong organisational skills.
The main requirements and responsibilities of the Project Manager are:
•Manage administrative tasks, including collating information and preparing client data in line with internal processes with accuracy
•Assist in planning of projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
•Conduct research and analysis to support project decisions
•Communicate with clients and stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing progress updates
•Collaborate with the team to share knowledge, suggest improvements, and contribute to new initiatives
•Strong data handling skills using Excel and other software
•Occasionally represent Action Renewables at events
Essential criteria:
•Level 6 (degree level) qualification, preferably in a relevant subject, or 12 months experience in an energy related field
•Minimum 1 year experience providing administrative, or project management support
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Experience of data handling and management
•Able to demonstrate excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills
•High level experience of IT systems including Microsoft office packages
•Experience of client engagement and account management.
