The Network
Join the NetworkAction Renewables is a registered charity (NIC100806), a company limited by guarantee (NI047950).
Our vision is to create a Northern Ireland which recognises the serious impacts of climate change. We will take measures to prevent and mitigate against those impacts, through the promotion of renewable energy products and services and addressing energy efficiency, alongside new developments in renewable fuels for transportation.
Our aim is to achieve our charitable objectives through the delivery of renewable energy projects across Northern Ireland and specific global projects that will have a direct benefit to the communities in which they serve.
Charitable objectives
- Advance to the benefit of the public the protection and improvement of the environment through the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The benefit which flows from this purpose is an improvement in the quality of the environment, leading to enhanced health, safety and quality of life of the public. These benefits are evidenced by surveys concerning the adoption of good environmental practice, records of the uptake of environmental information, advice and consultancy and the dissemination of research findings. This purpose does not result in any harm or private benefit.
- Advance the education of the public in energy efficiency and renewable energy. The benefits that flow from this purpose are enhanced knowledge and understanding of the issues relating to energy efficiency and renewable energy and of the alternative energy options available to businesses, organisations and communities. These benefits are evidenced by surveys of the extent and level of knowledge and understanding among the public of the issues and options available. This purpose does not result in any harm or private benefit.
