The Annual NI Farming Awards, now in its 13th year, were held at the Belfast based Crowne Plaza Hotel at Shaws Bridge on 9th October, 2024.

Over 250 guests attended from the agricultural sector and it was a great opportunity for the Action Renewables team to meet up with clients and make new connections. This was our first year attending the event, ably hosted by Adrian Logan – aka Logie! Many of the Action Renewables large scale generation clients, are from within the Agriculture sector, and the event provided the team with a chance to chat and find out more about current challenges faced.

As we move forward to deliver on our charitable objectives, it was an opportunity for our newly appointed Head of Charity Delivery, Lana Moore, to develop new contacts.

A drinks reception followed by a short introduction and speech by DAERA Minister, Andrew Muir provided the welcome to guests who were keen to partake in the 3-course meal which included a fabulous main course of beef – it was very well received!

The awards ceremony started after the meal and saw many attendees take to the stage to receive awards such as Farmer of the Year, Young Farmer of the Year, Farming Diversification Award, Sustainable Initiative of the Year to name but a few.

There was a vast amount of local talent in the room, and Logie was great at creating a buzz and energy throughout the night. A wonderful evening for everyone in the sector and a huge ‘Thanks’ to the organisers for such a successful event.
