Action Renewables is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Eco-Schools Climate Action topic, strengthening our commitment to supporting environmental education and inspiring the next generation of climate-conscious citizens across Northern Ireland.

The Eco-Schools programme, operated by Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, encourages pupils to learn about sustainability through hands-on projects that make a real impact in their schools and communities. This year’s Climate Action topic invites young people to explore practical ways to reduce carbon emissions, understand renewable energy, and develop innovative ideas that contribute to a more sustainable future.

By sponsoring this important topic, Action Renewables is helping to provide schools with the resources, guidance and opportunities they need to deliver meaningful climate-focused activities. From exploring solar and wind energy to examining everyday behaviours that influence carbon footprints, pupils will be encouraged to think creatively and critically about how their choices can shape the world around them.

Speaking about the partnership, Lana Moore, Head of Charity Delivery with Action Renewables highlighted the importance of empowering young people to take the lead on climate action:  “Action Renewables is committed to tackling the impacts of climate change, and we’re excited that our sponsorship of the Climate Change topic will support the delivery of this programme. This partnership strengthens our charitable goals by helping to educate young people and teachers, while also supporting schools on their journey toward Green Flag status”.

The organisation looks forward to seeing how schools bring the Climate Action topic to life over the coming year. The passion, innovation and dedication shown by pupils in previous Eco-Schools initiatives demonstrates the powerful impact that environmental education can have—both within the classroom and far beyond it.
