Belfast, 17 September 2025 – Action Renewables has officially launched the Action Renewables Network, a new platform designed to connect businesses, organisations, and individuals committed to advancing renewable energy and sustainability across Northern Ireland.
The launch was marked by a fully booked event on “Decarbonising Transport”, held on board the historic HMS Caroline in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter. The event brought together key stakeholders from industry, government, academia, and the community to explore solutions for reducing carbon emissions in the transport sector.
Transport is one of the most challenging areas to decarbonise, contributing significantly to Northern Ireland’s overall emissions. The event featured expert speakers and panel discussions focused on emerging technologies, policy developments, and opportunities for collaboration to accelerate the transition to cleaner, more sustainable transport systems.
Terry Waugh, CEO of Action Renewables, said:
“We are delighted to launch the Action Renewables Network with such an engaging and well-attended event. The interest shown demonstrates that there is a real appetite for collaboration and innovation in tackling the challenges of decarbonisation. Our new network will provide a space for knowledge sharing, partnership building, and practical action to support Northern Ireland’s transition to net zero.”
The Action Renewables Network will host regular events, workshops, and discussions focused on a wide range of sustainability issues — from renewable energy integration to green finance, circular economy, and community energy. Members will benefit from networking opportunities, access to expertise, and the chance to shape the energy transition in Northern Ireland.
The next event will be on Unlocking the Potential of Solar PV at Room2Hotel on 21st January, and can be booked online via this link
