Through our Solar PV Support Programme, Action Renewables fully fund the installation, maintenance and repair of solar panels for charities, schools, social enterprises and community groups based in Northern Ireland. This programme helps organisations save money on electricity bills and protect them against rising electricity rates in the future. How much you can save depends on the current utility rates and the profile of building usage.
Most recently, Action Renewables has installed a 9.9kW system at Darragh Cross GAC where member of the Darragh Cross Committee, Declan Flynn, commented, “the solar installation has been a great addition to Darragh Cross GAC, helping us cut running costs while showing our young players, families and wider community that renewable energy is part of everyday life, not just something abstract. The savings free up funds we’d otherwise spend on utilities, so we can put more into pitches, equipment and coaching at all age groups. Our club coaches’ boys and girls starting from the age of 5 in football and camogie, so the impact is widespread. It’s been a smooth process from start to finish and we’re glad that Action Renewables and the installer B4B Renewables helped us on the club’s journey toward more sustainable facilities.”
Action Renewables has supported over 31 non-profit organisations with Solar PV systems across Northern Ireland, helping them to reduce their energy costs and lower their carbon emissions. The programme enables organisations to benefit from renewable energy without the upfront investment. View the map below to see locations and organisations who have benefitted:
To ensure a liveable future on our planet, we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to slow down and eventually halt global warming. By participating in this programme, your organisation will not only reduce running costs, but also contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions which harm our environment and contribute to man-made climate change.
